On 8 and 9 April, the URBAN consortium gathered in Brucity for our second in‑person workshop. Two days filled with collaboration, sharp discussions, and concrete steps toward a shared approach for urban biodiversity and ecological connectivity.
We worked on:
- Aligning methodologies for connectivity assessments
- Shared definitions and mapping requirements for urban challenges
- Insights on citizens’ perception and acceptance of urban wildlife
- A project‑wide approach to data & community engagement
- Joint workplans for the upcoming project periods
It was great to see partners from across North West Europe bring together their expertise — from GIS and ecology to citizen engagement and urban planning. The energy and commitment clearly show that we can make real impact together.
A big thank‑you to the City of Brussels for hosting us. Looking forward to the next steps in June!
